BAGGAGE   All checked in baggage must be marked with name, telephone plus permanent and temporary addresses. Most airlines have a free baggage allowence of 20 kilos plus 5-10 kilos in hand luggage in economy class within Europe and to Asia. To the USA/Canada and partly South America there is the piece concept regardless of booking class. That means two bags per person, maximum weight 23 kilos each and 5-10 kilos in hand luggage.

Please note that the weight of baggage + hand luggage varies depending on airline. Do you have excess weight or bulky luggage then there is a special check-in counter for those items and it is always good to inform the airline before departure.
Except checked in luggage, you may have a hand luggage no bigger than that there is room for it under the flight seat. Therefore the maximum size is 56x45x25 cm and the maximum weight is normally between 5-10 kilos. For security reasons it is forbidden to carry dangerous items in you hand luggage such as matches, cigarette lighters, pyrotechnical articles, spray cans, poisonous substances, weapons and any kind of knife.

THE CHECK-IN    usually opens approximately 2 hours before departure and you must have checked in your baggage no later than 1 hour before departue. Some airlines require check-in 2 hours before departure. We recommend you to be at the airport in good time as there are often many passengers departing. If you miss your flight as a result of late check-in neither the insurance or Volandoresor will cover the extra charges that may occur.

LOST BAGGAGE   If your baggage is damaged or lost upon arrival then you must immediately contact the bagageservice Lost and Found at the airport. A lost report is made, a so called P.I.R report (Property Irregularity Report), and you will receive a copy. Then an international search starts. Without this P.I.R report you cannot receive any compensation from your insurance company or the airline. On the back of your boarding card you may find more information. Volandoresor takes no responibility for lost baggage, delays, cancelled flights e t c that are responsibilities of the airline. Remember that it is always good to have a travel insurance!

IMPORTANT INFORMATION   Volandoresor its not responsible for any baggage cost and any additional charges not included in the ticket price. Note that the some airlines charge a fee for luggage at checking. This is paid directly to the airline!
